This church and cemetery are very old, going back to the 1700s. A large area in the center of the cemetery are probably graves whose markers are no longer visible. New burials continue. Some names are Johnson, McCollum, Nicholson, Welborn, Barron, Critz, Sloan, Mullis, Wallace, Hedrick, Bell, Bunton, Coffin, Crews, Trivette and Howell. Some early graves are David B. Johnson (b. 8-21-1795, d. 1-6-1877) & his wife Frusannah B. (b. 11-30-1796, d. 10-23-1869); Caroline Myers (b. 10-11-1859, d. 6-8-1885) and sister Julia I. Myers (b. 6-1856, d. 4-20-1885), daughters of W. W. & Nancy Myers; Amatus W. Richardson (no dates, but Co H, 4th NC Infantry, CSA). One crude field stone marker shows Leth Gogge with this enscription: a reversed S followed by "HALL D E", then below that is "CEAST I I", and below that is "of 7 1826". Probably died on the 2nd day of July, 1826..
- Richardson, Amatus W. (b. - d. )
