Mrs. Gail C. Brown, 62, of Lillington passed away at her home. She was born in Lee County, the daughter of the late Elijah Currin and Virginia Griffin Currin. Gail was a dedicated member of Broadway United Methodist Church. She was loving wife, mother, and aunt who loved the Lord and children. During her most recent illness, Gail never complained and always met you with a smile on her face.
Gail is survived by her husband of 44 years, David Brown of the home; son, Brandon Brown of Lillington and fiance Lisa Snuggs of Pleasant Garden; daughter, Scarlette Klein and husband Mike of Fuquay-Varina; mother, Virginia Griffin Currin of Lillington; sisters, Ginger Couch and husband Bobby of Hillsborough, Laurie Norris and husband Randy of Lillington; brother, Douglas Currin and wife Connie of Wilmington, numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements were handled by O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home of Lillington. Services were held at Cool Springs Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Virginia G. Currin, 89, of Lillington passed away at Westfield Rehabilitation and Health Center in Sanford surrounded by her family. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late John Alford and Nannie Kelly Griffin. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Morris Currin; an infant son, Ronald Morris Currin and daughter, Linda Gail Brown. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Virginia was a life long homemaker who enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and quilting. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed canning and freezing. Virginia was a devoted teacher and mentor to her family and a faithful servant of the Lord. She was an active member of Broadway United Methodist Church serving in many capacities. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Ginger C. Couch and husband, Bobby of Hillsborough; daughter, Laurie Norris and husband, Randy of Lillington; son, Douglas Currin and wife, Connie of Mamers; son-in-law, David Brown of Lillington; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Broadway United Methodist Church and burial followed in Cool Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. He was an active member of the Cool Springs United Methodist Church, was a farmer and worked at the Harnett County Recycling Center, Roberts Co. and Sanford Finishing. Surviving is his wife Sue Logan Patterson of the home. Son Charles Edgar Patterson and wife Gail of Broadway. Step-son Michael Wayne Dellinger and wife Pam of Robbins, NC. Grandchildren Brenda Gail Holder, Jamie Sue Swider, John Wicker, Bryan Wicker, Tony Atkins and several great grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway. Services were conducted a Cool Springs United Methodist Church in Broadway with burial in the church cemetery.
